Citizens Centre Stage - A Conference About Serving Citizens Better.
This year's conference goes to the heart of what we're here for. We turn the spotlight on citizens and ask - how can we better serve all citizens? The question is simple; the answers are many, varied and complex, but they all involve three fundamental elements -
- the nature of the relationship between citizens and government;
- the forces that shape and change that relationship; and
- the need for the Public sector, through understanding those relationships and forces, to better serve citizens.
PSSM Conference 2000 looks at the future face of New Zealanders - our people, our communities, our society, our nation and our world.
From the context of international thought and experience we will hear some views about the relationships between New Zealanders and our government, we will discuss some of the forces that define those relationships, and we'll consider ways to improve our interaction with communities.
And, as with previous PSSM conferences, we'll highlight some important implications for leadership.
